GAVIN HUBBLE REVIEW

Classic Tasting Note:

Date of Review: 10th April 2025

LINDEN ESTATE ‘347’ Fortified Wine NV

Grape Varietal: A fortified red wine blend

Growing Region: Hawke’s Bay - New Zealand Winemaker: Alex Hendry

Rating: 4 Stars - *(4-star range = 90-94 points) - *(this vintage approx. 93pts)

18% Alc./Vol.

This Fortified NV Wine has a deep tawny plum red colour with a shining hue. The nose has a classic tawny aroma expressing dark cherries, cacao chocolate, dried spices and mocha-coffee. On the luscious medium weight palate, you a well-structured fortified sweet red wine with a focus on those dark berry fruit flavours infused with dried herbs, cacao chocolate and a balanced amount of natural fruit acidity. This wine has been nicely crafted as a morish dessert-style red wine with a memorable finish.

Food Pairing: An ideal dessert style wine with varied classic chocolate desserts & rich blue cheeses.

Ideal Serving Temperature: 13°- 14°C

*At date of review - *Cellaring Potential: Drinking now and can age for another 6-8 years.
